India Fertilizer Imports reached 2.34 MT in October 2022

India Import Export data shows that in October 2022, India Fertilizer imports reaches 2.34 Million Tonnes. The most imported fertilizers are urea and Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP). 

we distinguish the fertilizer imports then we see that Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP) was imported the most at 1.47 Million tonnes, pursued by urea at 4.60 lakh tonnes, Muriate of Potash (MoP) at 2.36 lakh tonnes, and complexes at 1.70 lakh tonnes. 

If we talk about the domestic production of fertilizers then we see that it doesn’t meet the monthly requirement. The Indian government set a target of producing 41 lakh tonnes of fertilizer but unfortunately, the Indian Fertilizer production sector only produces 36 Lakh tonnes in October month of 2022. 

In recent times, the Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer price has increased in the global commerce market. 

Indian government gives offers subsidies on the purchase of fertilizers just to maintain the soil nutrients available at reasonable prices to the agriculture community.
