Indian Tea Export Rose By 14.8% In The Jan-Aug Period This Year

According to the Indian Tea export data, in the first eight months of the current fiscal year, Indian Tea export rose by 14.8% to 140.28 Million Kilograms.    

If we compare the current tea export with the first eight months of the last fiscal year Tea export then we see that the Indian Tea export reached 122.18 million Kilograms.

At the current time, the CIS Countries are the largest importer of India Tea with almost 30.56 Million Kilograms. The major Indian tea importer of CIS Countries are Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. 

Exim Trade Data shows that the UAE is the second largest importer of Indian Tea after CIS Countries, they are importing Indian tea in the amount of 29.13 million kilograms. 

Current news shows that UAE holds the possibility to become India’s largest Tea importer in the upcoming time.  

If we talk about the value, the Indian government generated value in tea export of around Rs 3,837.28 crore in the first eight months of the current fiscal year.
